What does the app do?

Nymbl is an easy-to-use app that guides you through regular exercises at home to improve balance and reduce the risk of falls. It only takes about 10 minutes per day. You complete simple body movements at the same time as fun brain games such as matching, sums and quizzes. The app adjusts the exercises as you progress. This helps to keep you safe and constantly improve your balance.

Before you can download and use the Nymbl app, you have register as a user. To receive more targeted exercises, you will be asked to select 1 of 3 options that best describe your needs:

  • I want to improve my balance
  • I want to test my balance
  • my balance is great.

To confirm your registration, you will be sent you an email with simple and easy-to-follow instructions on how to download and use Nymbl.

PROS CONS

✔ Easy to use and fit into your daily routine.

✔ Includes fun brain games.

✔ Research evidence so far is showing benefit, and more detailed research is ongoing.

✔ Attractive app that is pleasant to use.

✘  Several of the brain games use colours, which would make them unsuitable for someone who was colour-blind. However, you can choose different options which should get around this.
