What are long-term conditions?
Terms such as long-term conditions can be confusing. This video explains that long-term conditions are any condition that is on-going, progressive or recurrent and cannot be cured per se. However, most can be managed with treatment and medicines to minimise impact on people's lives. Common long-term conditions include arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, depression, asthma, chronic lung disease and asthma. This website has details of many more.
