  • The STarT Back screening tool is for healthcare providers to screen people with low back pain for prognostic indicators relevant to initial decision making.

The STarT Back tool by Keele University aims to help healthcare providers categorise back pain patients into 3 categories: low, medium and high risk. Healthcare providers can then provide treatment or intervention suitable for each subgroup of patients to improve outcomes.
