Do you have experience of living with a long-term condition or disability, or experience looking after someone who does? We have an amazing opportunity for a few more advisors to join our Health Consumer Advisory Service (HCAS) team.
Your job will be helping to make sure the consumer voice is represented in health service design and planning at local, regional and national levels. This is a paid, part-time, flexible location, position.
We are especially keen to discover young people aged from 15 to 23 years of age. Knowledge of te reo Māori or a Pacific language would be an advantage for this role.
Involvement would include attending a monthly Zoom team where you'll be asked to give feedback on questions we get from various agencies and organisations looking for consumer input into their projects, like videos and patient fliers. It's also a chance to talk about what you have been involved with over the month. We have a range of health sector organisation assignments that our advisors assist with too, either by attending meetings face to face or via Zoom meetings.
You will work in a supportive environment and annual training sessions are provided for those who can attend (usually in Auckland).
If you are interested in joining our team, please fill in the HCAS recruitment form and we'll be in touch. Also, feel free to shoulder tap anyone you think would be an awesome representative for their consumer group!
