What does the app do?
The Weight Loss Tracker RecStyle app enables the user to set and monitor weight, body fat, muscle mass and waist circumference each day and graphs the data across a day week or month. Recording and monitoring changes in weight, waist circumference, fat or muscle mass can be useful for users who wish to lose, gain or maintain weight or alter body composition. The app allows you to record notes and quickly select tags for overeating, alcohol intake, exercise, menstruation, bowel movement and poor health to help the user monitor fluctuations. Overall, the app is simple and an intuitive app to record weight and changes in body composition. Includes some user-friendly features like audio to text, notes and alerts. Safety concerns: None New Zealand relevance: Accuracy of measurements dependent on accuracy of users weight scales.

Useful for people who want to track their weight and waist circumference. The other tracking options such as body fat and muscle may be useful to a selected group of users. Safety concerns: Possible risk as there are no alerts for weight goals outside of healthy weight range or setting unrealistic weight goals." New Zealand relevance: Allows user to individualize measurement settings. There is provision for measurements of weight and height to be set to metric units such as cm and kg, which are used in New Zealand.
