What does the app do?
This app has a large food database and a range of recipes with nutritional analysis. It is aimed at people with kidney disease or other conditions such as high blood pressure (hypertension), diabetes and osteoporosis who require a modified diet. Based on their personalised health profile, the app provides the user with information of their nutritional requirements. It uses a traffic light system with ticks and crosses to highlight the suitability of foods. You can also set personal goals (dietary intake targets) depending on your health profile. The app has educational tips, breaking health news and health-related nutritional programs.

Cons |
✔ The app uses the current American renal (kidney) guidelines and three meals with one snack per day as basis for data comparison. |
✘ The food database is not very relevant to New Zealanders. |
