How to get the app

KYND stands for Know Your Numbers Dashboard. The KYND app is divided into 3 main sections relating to physical (body), mental (mind) and social (life) health. Each section has a series of questions which, when completed, provide results using a traffic light display of green (healthy), orange (something is not quite right) and red (risk zone). The app provides people with wellness scores so they can make informed choices and track their wellness journey.

The app has tips and helpful guidance for each area such as information about depression, anxiety, high blood pressure or high cholesterol. There are tips and videos about each of these areas.

PROS CONS

People can track their progress and find out if the lifestyle changes they are making are having a positive impact on their health.

The traffic light colours make it easy to identify risks.

The information can't be exported.

Comments: KYND stands for Know Your Numbers Dashboard. This app is most useful for people who want to measure and manage their wellness and find out if changes they make improve their health. Users can record their own wellness scores, to make informed choices and track their journey. These scores include measurements such as weight, blood pressure, HbA1c (for diabetes), how users are feeling, how much they are drinking and smoking and how much their environment or workplace might be impacting their health. Overall, I really enjoyed using this app and learning about different aspects of wellness that could be measured and improved. They content is well organised, and clearly written by a dedicated team of health professionals.
Safety concerns: No. The app has been developed by a team of health professionals, doctors, psychologists and designers who are committed to giving people access to their own data so they can track their progress.
New Zealand relevance: Relevant to a New Zealand audience.

Comments: I liked that it is a place to store all my health measurements so I don't lose them. The app provided me with information that was easy to understand about each risk factor and then told me what my measurements meant and what I could do about them.
