This app allows the user to calculate their risk of stroke through evaluating a series of risk factors such as age, gender, ethnicity, lifestyle and other health factors that directly influences their likelihood of a stroke within the next 5 to 10 years. It allows you to compare your risk with someone of your age and gender without risk factors. It can also be used to estimate the risk of recurrent stroke by people who have already experienced a stroke or transient ischemic attack. The app also provides information about the four key signs of a stroke: F.A.S.T.

Reviewer:Amy Williamson, Physiotherapist, Hawkes Bay DHB September 2016 Clinical score: ★★★★★ Review: "This app is useful for anyone wanting to assess their risk of stroke. It can be used as an education tool, where users can assess the impact of various factors on stroke risk for example, the effect of increasing regular exercise, reducing body weight (if they are overweight or obese) and reducing blood pressure (if they are hypertensive)." New Zealand relevance: ★★★★★ Comment: "In terms of New relevance, it is unclear if the app has different cut-offs for BMI risk for Maori and Pacific peoples."
