We’ve had a windfall at Health Navigator – not only have we met someone who is raising funds for us, but he is also a gold mine of information about how to beat obesity and the depression that can come with it.
Five years ago, Kiwi Josh Thomson (27) was given a virtual death sentence by his GP that lead him to fight for his life, losing weight and gaining self-belief.
At 21 he was a loner weighing 165kg, today he is 95kg and about to begin a five-month journey from the top of the country to the very bottom. He’s doing this to raise awareness of youth obesity and depression, and funds for Health Navigator.
