Overview

Hepatitis C was not formally identified and genetically mapped until late 1989; and previously was referred to as NonANonB or post-transfusion hepatitis. Risk factors for Hepatitis C infection include sexual contact, iv drug use and infected blood products prior to screening in 1992.

Symptoms, Tests & Diagnosis

The symptoms of acute infection with Hepatitis C include nausea, tiredness and vomiting. Most people do not have any symptoms. If  you have any risk factors for Hepatitis C, get tested.
