Mary-Anne Boyd (Chair)M. Phil (Hons), M.B.I.E., M.P.P., N.Z.R.O.T., Dip Ed Mary-Anne is currently the innovation manager in New Zealand’s largest District Health Board and brings wide experience to her position as chairperson. As a learner for life she is interested in knowledge management and education for health professionals and consumers. She has three masters degrees, the most recent in Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship. She values evidence bases from a range of disciplines and recognizes that people with long term conditions become experts in their own health, especially when they and their families can get knowledge and practical ideas. She has worked in the health sector over the past three decades, in seven countries and with the broader perspective of experience in a range of other industries. She is co-leader of primary health care innovation centre Te Whariki Teitei. She was a Winston Churchill Fellow and inaugural recipient of the Frances Rutherford Lecture Award for outstanding occupational therapists. Mary-Anne is married to David White and they have two sons. She is also an advisor the Brainwave Trust and has a passion for social innovation that can impact the health of New Zealand’s people and its economy. |

Dr Janine Bycroft (Clinical Director)MBChB, Dip Obs, Dip Paeds, MPH (Hons), FRNZCGP Janine is the Founder and Clinical Director for Health Navigator NZ. She is also a GP, Flinders Trainer, GP Liaison for Auckland District Health Board, Researcher and Self-Management Clinical Advisor for several DHBs and PHOs. Her areas of interest include self-management support, quality improvement, chronic care, e-health, health literacy and the integration of primary and secondary care. She is involved with a number of projects to improve long-term condition management at a local, regional and national level and is often asked to present at various forums. She chairs the Counties Manukau Self Management Steering Group and is the primary care clinical lead for a National Shared Care Plan Programme and a member of the Cardiac Care Strategic Advisory group for the Heart Foundation. |

Bram KuklerBram trained as a nurse in The Netherlands. Since arriving in New Zealand in 1990 Bram has worked in both disability and the mental health sector in which he was manager of a range of community, residential and vocational services. More recent positions include Funding and Planning Manager for mental health and addiction for Waitemata DHB and National Depression Initiative Sector Relationship Manager. The campaign seeks to help people to make informed decisions about treatment for depression through educational resources, interactive websites, and advisory services. Bram gained his diploma in Social Sciences: Psychology, and Master of Business Studies: Management, while living in New Zealand. He is also actively involved in local, regional and national Primary Mental Health development. Bram lives just out of Auckland and enjoys the outdoors with his 3 children. “It is a privilege to be on the Board of the Health Navigator Trust and to be part of the development of this most valuable resource. Andrew McLachlanRN, MN. Andy is a Nurse Practitioner with a focus on preventing heart disease and supporting people to make changes in their daily lives that can have a positive impact on their health. He is originally from Scotland, now married to a kiwi and has a wee boy who is already running around with an oval ball. “I am honoured to be on the Board of the Health Navigator Trust. The website is a very useful resource for the people of New Zealand and will grow to be one of the first sites we look at when we want clear and impartial information on important health topics.” |

Wendy RaynerWendy is the Head of Marketing for a large commercial organisation and is based in Auckland. Prior to this she spent a number of years working for TVNZ in a variety of sales and marketing roles. Wendy has sat on the Manukau Institute of Technology’s Business Faculty Board and also the Epworth Recreation Facility board. Wendy holds an Advanced Diploma and is working toward completion of her Masters Degree in Business. A mother of two young children, Wendy is also kept busy helping out at the local community kindergarten. Dr Jocelyn TraceyMBChB, FRNZCGP, PhD Jocelyn is a GP, lecturer, researcher and Clinical Director with a longstanding interest in chronic care and continuing medical education (the topic of her PhD). She also brings extensive expertise to the Trust Board with wide experience in various national and regional governance, leadership and strategic planning roles. She has designed, implemented and evaluated numerous clinical programmes across the country. While still doing some locum general practice her main work focus is as Clinical Director to PHOcus on Health providing primary care support to PHOs and DHBs in areas such as long term condition management, clinical services, needs analyses, strategic planning and programme evaluation. She spends her spare time working with her husband John on their 3 acre lifestyle block grubbing thistles and renovating a very old house. She has three children at University in Auckland. “I am excited about being on the Board of the Health Navigator Trust. The website provides a wonderful resource for the people of New Zealand with health issues. It promotes sharing of information between doctors and nurses and their patients as they can together review the information on the site. Providing support for people to become expert at managing their own health conditions is key to the health of New Zealanders.”
